    They don't tell you, that you need a hard surface to drill it into. It takes up 5 times more space than a normal doorbell. Battery in below average usage lasts around 6-8 months. It should be hardwired. This is CNET collecting money from ring doing a commercial for them. It's obvious. It is a really good product because, even at your own door, they know the human animal can't be trusted. That's 90% of sales. The rest is BS like seeing when a package arrives.

    I hope the bell has some kind of sensor to detect when someone's tampering with it. It looks too easy to just take off the bottom cover and disconnect it.

    it's 24 volt. You don't need to turn off the circuit. You could probably lick those wires and not even feel it.
