I think the screen is ridiculous on the homepods.  Seems so low tech.  My request for the product–run off bluetooth.  Don't require wifi.  LTE compatibility for portability.  And the ability to store your whole music library on their for wifi-less music listening.  Also the ability to turn off voice to voice feedback for those who love privacy and don't want a spy device that's always listening.

I agree with you they should pair this pod with another product to make it more compelling in my opinion.

Another Apple fail….. The Promote heavily than nothing but average stuff overpriced.. It probably be that much to the others doing well with Alexa and Cortana. You need Two for true Stereo Sound anyway and separation. Will a lot hold on like Tesla?

Thank you for this straightforward video. I feel that Apple's quality control has been steadily declining. I believe that we are finally seeing an Apple without the guidance of Steve Jobs. I still own and love their older generation products but I am systematically replacing them, starting with my phone. This year I bought the iPhone 8 Plus but the A11 Bionic chip never kicked in since iOS feels unrefined and sloppy. I gave the iPhone to my wife (who had a 6S Plus) and bought a Pixel 2 XL. While the iPhone undoubtedly does certain things better, my overall experience with Google is drastically better.

I don’t think they really seem to care about their consumers; Apple seems to be churning out products not really connecting with consumers or the real world.

Maybe Dr Dre is spending too much time on ☘️ and is too high to work on AirPods and the HomePod.

You mentioned Google Home Max…. When their entire 2017 tech line-up has been having some severe faults and missteps (Early reviews of Pixel Buds have been poor at best so adding them to Googles list of fails this year), don't think Apple has to worry about that. 😛

Well said Brian. Very thoughtful and insightful video. Like yourself, I am also a believer that the SJ era handled launches in a timely manner.

I honestly have no interest/need in the HomePod or any home speaker for that matter, because I'm more the sort that'd use Hey Siri on my watch instead, because that goes with me wherever I go.
All that to one side, I think Apple rushed to announce this in June 2017 because everyone was saying they should, but perhaps they unveiled the product and gave the "sneak peek" way earlier than they should have. Apple or any other tech company should not be giving "sneak peeks" for products more than 3 months in advance, because if they do, there's likely from what we've seen, more of a chance of something going wrong and not arriving on time like they initially said.

Hey Apple your not making me want the Home pod more by making me think that you need more time to make it more special. My friends said I was crazy for taking my iPhone X back, but who's crazy now? Three new phone next year. Really Apple, stop over thinking and just think. Tim in his push to push out Jobs believers, shows many items before they are ready, and Jobs would have never done that… If you don't believe me, just look at Jobs give the first iPod presentation. He gives the whole presentation and then pulls the iPod out of his pocket…. Just genius!!! That is the magic of Steve Jobs and the he told you when the item would be in your hands. Tim please take notes.

Yes, Apple has made mistakes on getting their products out in time recently. However Brian, what I’ve noticed about you over the past few years is all you do is spread negative prejudice thoughts on Apple before experiencing it yourself, and yet you continue to use their products you’ve judged so negatively, and you go back on your word after liking the product yourself. You’re prejudice, and no one should take you seriously and reliably when you talk garbage about Apple, yet you enjoy getting spoon fed by Tim.

Prime on Apple TV is not looking good either. I am loosing enthusiasm for buying Apple products on release. Not into staying up on Apple anymore…as a fan boy, I’ll consider future purchases after actual release. Apple has pissed me off and I don’t see my attitude changing any time soon.

If somebody were to make a super cut compilation of you throwing shade at Apple for a certain product, and then clips of you realizing you were wrong about judging them with such a strong regard and smug prejudice – there would be too many, it would make you look like a buffoon. From all your Applebyte bs and podcasts, maybe one day it will happen. You’re like a wannabe android fanatic that likes to rip on Apple, yet you’re truly an Apple fanboy deep down… I think you have an identity crisis.

Yeah it’s disappointing that they won’t be releasing the HomePod when they say they’re going to release it, but at the same time it’s good that they’re not just rushing out the product with out it being done! Hopefully Apple has learned from their mistakes and will pay more close attention to detail before releasing a product to the consumer with issues. So from now until 2018, I hope they work out what they need to work out and make this product a great success.

I think its funny how Apple is the only company that people criticize Apple's design. You don't see that happening with any other company
